You don't lie to the Letterman

This story is a tad bit old, Sep 25, 2008... but come on, i couldn't let this one go.. You just don't flat out lie to Letterman.... ON NATIONAL TV

McCain told David Letterman he couldn't be a guest on Dave's show because the economy is going to crater and he needs to go to Washington DC to save America right now!

well that turned out to be ... another lie!

According to Letterman, Senator McCain called him personally and said he was headed to the airport to rush off to Washington to work on the economic crisis. Letterman, however, found out that McCain was actually at CBS to do a last-minute interview with Katie Couric.

So really Johnny ... whats up, I know it was really difficult trying to keep all your lies in order, I know proclaiming that "The fundimentals of the economy are strong" then watching the Dow Jones Average slide to pre-Bush numbers. Suspending your campaign then unsuspending it when you find out that was a terrible unpopular idea designed to weasel out of a debate. Choosing a running mate you met twice. It just seems like you're starting to fall apart, is it getting too tough for you?? Either way let me impart some words of wisdom... "If you're going to tell a lie, make sure its not so obvious that you'll get caught.. especially on national television" because you look like a complete jackass
