I am so glad the SPIC is protecting us from financial harm..

And McCain wanted to seal off the border (J/K)
but seriously our economic financial guru and GOP presidential nominee & apparent inventor of blackberry technology Johnny NoBrain on several occasions yesterday refered to the Securities Investor Protection Corporation as.... SPIC..

from the Washington Post's CQ Transcripts Wire
"I pledge that FDIC and SPIC will have all the support they need to fully back the savings of the American people. "

Hahahahahahaha .... The SPIC will have all the support it needs .... hahahahaha too freaking funny..

wait it gets better ...
"And there are so many of those regulators that the responsibility for oversight is scattered, unfocussed and ineffective. Among others, we've got the SEC, the CFTC, the FDIC, the SPIC and the OCC. But for all their big and impressive sounding names, the fact is they haven't been doing their job right, or else we wouldn't have these massive problems on Wall Street. "

Twice .. in the same address ... putting all the blame on the SPIC... nice job NoBrain

Its really nice and cute to be able to rattle off acronyms, and it might make you sound really smart.. The current administration loves creating acronyms for the most asinine things.. but if you are going to rattle off acronyms ... PLEASE make sure you use them correctly... otherwise you just sound like complete Jackass.. or JA as the republicans would put it..

Oh btw
The Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC) is a federally mandated non-profit corporation in the United States that protects securities investors from harm if a broker/dealer defaults. But investors are not insured for any potential loss while invested in the market.
